Warmer weather means food, fun in Downtown Mooresville

If you missed yesterday’s season-opening of Festival of Food Trucks in Downtown Mooresville, never fear.

A lively section of Main Street will close from 5-8:30 p.m. on the following dates for food trucks: May 4, June 1, July 6, Aug. 3, Sept. 7 and Oct. 5.

Pack chairs and the family – the dog, too! – but get there early. These food trucks are wildly popular, and lines can get longggg.

My always-faithful go-to, Lobster Dogs, did NOT disappoint last night. The hubs had a Vietnamese pork taco from Yummi Banh Mi that was to-die-for! Mooresville’s own On Tap and Ghostface Brewing kept the spirits flowing, and bluegrass tunes by Coddle Creek kept people on their feet.

Put May 4 on your calendar, y’all. Find me on Main Street and say hey!
